We are here for the blink of an eye and then we’re gone.

In that short time, we can either focus on what’s wrong with our life and feel defeated or we can focus on what’s right with it and feel limitless.

Inside, we all have a diamond that is waiting to dazzle the world, and the moment that we accept this is the moment the rubble on top will start to fall away.

When we look at others we can either see the rubble or notice the diamond and depending on how we look will determine how things appear.

The answers we seek lie within – they always have. There is nothing anyone can say about us or to us that will change this truth.

Until we let our diamond shine brightly into the world we will always wonder what we are here to do.

It’s really quite simple… you are here to do you! The version of you that is unapologetic about who you are and why you are here.

The version of you that can be told you are wrong by a million people and yet in your heart you know it’s true for you which is all that matters.

The version of you that loves yourself first and then gives in abundance when your cup is overflowing.

The version of you who is a walking ambassador of your message and mission in the world.

In essence, dare to be different and when the crowd doesn’t agree with the direction you are going in just smile and wish them well as life’s too short to stay ordinary.

Einstein said, “The sign of true intelligence is not knowledge but imagination.”

Here’s what most people don’t know about imagination. We’re using it all the time. It’s just that some imagine a life of abundance while others imagine a life of lack and struggle.

Whatever we imagine we become in our thoughts, words, and deeds. If we imagine that life is hard and that we are not enough then that’s what we create more of.

If we imagine that we are happy and that we have everything we want and have ever dreamed of, then that is what we will create.

The thing is that as kids our imagination has no limits but for most people, as they get older it starts to get reduced to imagining things for the worst.

When we let our limiting beliefs and our fears dictate what we imagine then life becomes very hard.

That’s why to fully use our imagination in the way it was intended we need to get back to that space our childlike innocence within ourselves once again.

We need to give ourselves permission to stop taking life so seriously and become more playful in the way we think and behave.

When it comes to imagination, the math is simple… the more negative, limiting, or fear-based thoughts we have the more darkness we’ll imagine into our lives.

Conversely, the more joyful, playful, and optimistic thoughts we have the more light we’ll bring to our lives.

All of us have an inner creative genius waiting to be freed. Some have already done it while others get stuck living a more rational and left-brain type of life that leaves little room for our God-given gift.

Logic has its place in life, but to really soar high among the eagles and live a life of wonder and adventure we also need to balance it with our creative mind.

If we think about it, everything that exists in the man-made world came from someone’s imagination. Cars, clothes, technology, medicine, things – everything.

The challenge with imagination is that we either use it to create new things in our lives that make our soul sing or we use it to worry about everything we cannot change or control.

When we worry about something then we are imagining things for the worst. And, because our brain doesn’t know the difference between what we imagine or what is real, it receives those thoughts as real.

That’s why we have to be mindful of what we imagine as the moment we imagine something positive or negative – the brain perceives it as real. Then our physical reality takes on that vibration.

So, why not imagine things for the best, and imagine that we are happy, healthy, wealthy, and empowered. It’s the same energy, it’s just that one helps us to grow while the other keeps us stuck in the dark.

I’ve found that meditation really helps to get the creative juices flowing in your life.

It helps to get the left and right sides of our brain talking to each other and when that happens our creativity blossoms in the most beautiful of ways.

Problem-solving gets easier and more fun, your artistic talents start to flow from nowhere and you get to free your inner genius.

If you can imagine it you can become it. So make sure to imagine your life exactly the way you want it to be.

The truth is that the life you have created now is exactly what you imagined it would be in the past and your future will look like what you are imagining now.

Imagination is your soul speaking to you so pay attention to it and you will discover all you need to be fulfilled.

I see so many people in today’s world trade happiness for instant gratification
be that alike on social media, the next shiny object to distract them or just keeping themselves so busy getting nowhere quickly that they forget to stop and enjoy the ride.

I’m all about putting happiness first. I always have been. In fact, for me, happiness and inner-peace go hand-in-hand.

Even the famous singer-songwriter John Lennon from the Beatles was quoted as saying…

“When I was five years old, my mother told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life”.

This is where it gets tricky though because from what I have observed lately most people don’t really know what happiness is let alone make it a priority in their life.

What we prioritize is what we end up spending most of our time doing. For some this is work, for others, it’s constantly worrying about things that don’t matter and for even more of us, it’s doubting ourselves and our potential.

Let me share with you my take on happiness…

Happiness is the foundation on which an epic life can be built and where true abundance arises from.

Abundance does not arise from misery and suffering, although those things can be a trigger to wake TF up and do life differently.

To make happiness a priority means to put it first before anything else.

Before money, before sex, before complaining, before work, before looking for your life partner – before anything.

Without it, life will simply suck.

It’s because I have devoted the majority of my adult life to uncovering happiness that is not dependent on anything or anyone that I have accomplished what I have.

From becoming a successful heart-centered entrepreneur with multiple businesses that create financial stability to becoming a best-selling author to manifesting the woman of my dreams, to having optimal health and energy that never subsides, to waking up each day so damn grateful to be alive – this ALL came from making happiness and inner peace a choice.

So, I’ve decided that I need to be the change that the world needs to see in this instance and am going to teach how to make happiness, inner peace, and fulfillment a way of life in a way that people will be able to EMBODY it.

If your foundation in life is strong (i.e built on happiness as the core) then your mind, body, and spirit are already primed to manifest from a higher vibrational level.

– I’ve had enough of seeing people lost in the darkness of their own thoughts and emotions that are just programs they borrowed.

– I’ve had enough of hearing people make excuses as to why they are not happy.

And… I’ve had enough with people believing they are not enough because of invisible ghosts of the past keeping them stuck in shame, guilt, or blame.

It’s time to unshackle ourselves from our doubts and fears and align ourselves to our true potential which starts at happiness and above.

It began when I was going through a particularly unhappy period where I ended up losing almost everything I loved and cherished in one foul swoop.

It was because of the mental, emotional and physical suffering that I went through that I became determined to understand exactly what happiness is and how I could have more of it, especially when my life was in chaos.

This led me on an inner journey of self-discovery that helped me to understand that happiness is a natural state of being. In other words, it’s always there for you if you know how to tap into it. It’s just that sometimes you get distracted from it because of what you think and feel about what’s going on in your head or your life.

It’s so easy to be drawn into the games the mind plays when it comes to keeping you from being happy. This comes from a deep-seeded belief that most of us have that we don’t deserve to be happy, even when that makes no sense at all logically. It’s just what we’ve been conditioned to believe about ourselves.

When this undercurrent of lack of belief in who we are is in play then the mind naturally gravitates to unhappiness as that’s what it’s expecting to happen anyway. Unhappiness always leads to suffering be it mental, physical, or emotional. The key though is to not get stuck in it and recover as quickly as you can.

To go from unhappiness to happiness is quite simple and doesn’t need to take long at all. In fact, it can be done is seconds. All that’s needed is to get out of your head and be present in your body. The moment you drop into the present moment, happiness, or inner peace as I like to call it, appears.

For many people, happiness seems to be equated to someone or something that triggers a feeling that they relate to being happy. The problem with that concept of happiness is that what happens to your happiness when there is nothing to trigger it?

That’s why I’ve discovered that lasting happiness flows from inner peace. If you think about the last time you were at peace with life, or perhaps you’re feeling that right now, then if you look at that state closely you’ll notice that everything about your life is okay right now. That’s what I called happiness.

It really is as simple as just getting out of your head long enough so that your natural state of peacefulness arises. The only time that you will not be aware of your inner peace is when you allow yourself to be distracted by thoughts or feelings that keep you away from it.

That’s okay too. Don’t judge yourself when you’re in your head – just notice it. There’s something magical happens when you stop judging what’s going on in your head and instead choose to accept it. The magic is that the mind starts to quiet down of its own accord because now you are no longer getting caught up in it.

By accepting your thoughts and emotions as they arise not only does it make your life easier and happier, it also flows onto the lives of others you connect to so that they can feel better about themselves too.

Here’s a short video by Mo Gawdat that sums up what I am saying nicely, please enjoy

If you aren’t then perhaps it’s time to look at what else you could be doing to live a happier, healthier, and more enjoyable life.

Perhaps the first thing to look at is how you define joy. Is it something that happens to you that makes you feel happy, or is it something that you generate from within you? How you answer this question ultimately determines how and when joy comes into your life.

3 Secrets To A Joyful Life

Mastering the art of joyful living is something that anyone can do. While it may require more effort for some than others ultimately if you are willing to put in some effort you are bound to get results.

Here are 3 powerful keys to turn unhappiness into a life filled with joy, peace, and calm stability.

1. Receive everything with love.

We can’t always control what happens in our lives, but we can control how we react and respond to them. It’s easy to get into the habit of blaming others, or the world around us when things don’t go our way. Then we get to feel justified at getting angry or upset. However, all this does is feed our victim consciousness which fills our mind and body with negative energy.

To turn this pattern of behavior around all that’s needed is look at things in a different way. What if you took everything that happened in your life and instead of judging some things as good and others as bad, you received everything with love? How might that impact the quality of your life?

The first thing it would do is elevate your mindset from that of believing you are a victim of your circumstances to taking ownership over what happens. This simple shift in how you approach every thought, feeling, and experience that happens in your life instantly transforms your energy from fear to love.

The moment we take responsibility for how we receive what goes on inside and around us is the moment that we awaken to a higher level of freedom and joy in our lives. As long as we stay stuck in judgement over our thoughts, feelings, or results, we block the flow of peace and calmness in our lives.

Peace happens when we accept ourselves fully for who we are. When there is peace in our heart and mind, then there is unlimited joy and happiness to be experienced. The lesson here is that whatever comes your way – learn to love it.

The way to receive everything with love is to firstly set it as an intention in your life. Once you have decided that you want to make love more important than judgment, then the next step is to embrace whatever comes your way with love through your breath. Simply take a deep breath into your heart and say to yourself, “I love and approve of myself, and I sense _______ (fill in the blank)”.

No matter what you sense, just repeat this phrase to yourself as you breathe in. The blank can be anything at all that your are thinking or feeling at the moment. Then, as you breathe out, focus on giving love back out to the world around you.

2. Be grateful.

Gratitude really is one of the most super normal powers we have at our disposal to send a strong message to the Universe that we love our lives. It’s well known that what we put out in thought, word and deed comes back to us, so it makes sense then that if we show gratitude for everything that happens in our life, then we’ll receive more to be grateful for.

It may not make a lot of sense at first to practice being grateful all the time but if you persevere long enough you will soon start to experience the joy in it. Often times our true purpose and gifts in life get revealed by what looks like mistakes or pain. During these times we usually have to dig deeper inside to bring out a part of us that we have never needed before and this heralds the birthplace of our brilliance.

Ultimately, gratitude is a powerful emotional state that can uplift your heart, spirit, and life. It is the one emotion above all others that can enhance the quality of your happiness, peace and fulfillment more than anything else.

The best way to put gratitude into motion in your life is to start and end the day with a gratitude prayer. Just think of 10 or more things you can think of that you are grateful for and silently give thanks to them in your mind and heart both at the start of the day and before you go to sleep.

Eventually, you’ll soon come to feel grateful for every moment that you take a breath, as even something as simple as your body remembering to breathe so you can stay alive is something to be thankful for. As you heart opens to more gratitude so too will your life open to higher levels of happiness, peace and joy.

3. Don’t criticize, condemn, or complain.

If you’ve ever spent anytime hanging around people who bitch and moan about their lives, or about other people, then you’re probably aware of how uncomfortable it feels to be around them. There is no good that comes from criticizing others, or complaining about the way your life is. In fact, it’s quite the opposite in that it sends a powerful message of negativity out to the Universe.

When we complain it’s usually because we are annoyed about something. Rather than complaining about it though, we can just as easily turn it around and instead find something about it to be grateful for. Just by looking to find what’s right with something, rather than what’s wrong with it instantly elevates our thought process and energy levels.

It’s so easy to find fault in ourselves and others but to what end? It doesn’t make you feel any better about yourself, or develop better relationships. In fact, it does the opposite. That’s why when you decide to drop giving yourself or others a hard time through habitually complaining, condemnation, or criticizing, you open up the door to deeper levels of happiness and joy.

If you follow these three keys and apply them for even just a few minutes each day you’ll instantly stay to experience tremendous forward movement in your daily levels of happiness, peace and joy. Joy is something that happens naturally within us when we are not distracted by the myriad of thoughts and emotions that demand our time.

Sometimes, all it takes to be happy is to stop and center yourself for a moment. Then, happiness arises naturally as it was always present in your body – it just needed to be remembered.

If you’ve ever been sucked down the rabbit hole of worry and anxiety, then you probably know what it feels like to be spiralling out of control with your life. While a little worry can be good for us in some ways, too much worry can lead to panic attacks and anxiety disorders that can be crippling to us.

So why do we worry?

Is it because it’s an inbuilt mechanism to warn us of impending danger, or is it simply something that we’ve become conditioned to do because it’s what everyone else is doing around us? Modern research suggests that it’s actually a combination of both these things.

The challenge arises when you find that worrying is occupying a great deal of your mental and emotional energy. When this happens then anxiety can set in and that’s when we can get into a vicious cycle of worry-anxiety-more worry-more anxiety.

With excessive worrying, our mind/body system goes into hyperdrive. This can lead to loss of appetite, insomnia, harmful addictive behavior, declining health, depression, and relationship problems. While a little worry can help motivate you to take action on things you might normally procrastinate on, excessive worry can be a potentially devastating.

How Do We End The Worry Cycle?

The first thing to be mindful of is that worry comes from the mind. Specifically, fear of things like change, the unknown and the future. The mind can get lost in worrying about what may or may not happen at home, at work, or in any area of our life or the world around you. Regardless of what the mind is obsessed about it’s bound to be future based.

Worry is also about fear of loss. Fear of losing the comfort, health, peace of mind, happiness, security, life, or whatever it is we believe that we may potentially lose. This is valuable information to have because once we understand that the mind can be obsessive about things that it can’t control then it becomes easier to work with it.

Many people tend to handle worry and anxiety by taking prescription medication to reduce the symptoms. However, does that really help with what’s causing or triggering us to be worried? It’s more like a temporary ‘fix’ that has its own set of side effects that can also be unpleasant and harmful.

What then is the answer to dealing with the triggers and causes of our worries and anxieties?

Perhaps it’s the way we look at them. What if we viewed worry and anxiety as something that we can learn from, rather than something we have to get rid of? Wouldn’t that instantly change the way we thought about worry and how we approached it?

The best question to ask yourself when you become aware that you are feeling anxious about something is, ‘is it true?’ By true I mean is it happening right now? If it is, then do something about it. If it isn’t, then what purpose is there in worrying? How is it helping you? Once you answer that question, then if you want to you can choose to let go of being worried.

How do you do that though if the mind won’t let you – that’s the million dollar question. This is where you come to the conclusion about whose really in control of your life. If you can’t choose to let go of something that’s not a real or present danger in this moment, then that tells you that the subconscious mind is in charge.

This is actually great news. It gives you a way to immediately start taking back your power to choose how you want your life to look, feel and be. As long as you are a prisoner to fearful thoughts and feelings about the future then you’ll always feel like a victim and believe that you are powerless to do anything about it.

That’s simply not true. You always have the power to choose exactly the way you want your life to look and feel without exception. All you need to do is focus your attention on the present. In other words, get out of your head and drop into your body so that you feel centered and grounded again. As soon as you do that all thoughts of worry will disappear.

Happiness Is The Key

Happiness is a natural state of being. When we are at ease with ourselves and have peace of mind, then we are naturally happy. Nothing else is needed. It’s only when we are in an unnatural state such as worry or anxiety, that we forget that happiness is waiting just underneath the surface of the disturbance in the mind and body.

The more time you spend focusing on bringing the mind into the present moment, the more time you will have to enjoy being happy. The way you can do this is simply to be mindful of your thoughts and feelings without judging them.

Just by taking the time to close your eyes and allow any worrying thoughts or feelings to move through the mind and body without judging them or getting caught up in them, will rapidly start to reduce the impact they could potentially have over your mental, emotional state, or physical state of being.

This simple exercise in mindfulness is all that’s required to create space in your head. Once you have a bit of space in your head, then the mind starts to quiet down and a calmness and inner peace arises. That’s all that’s needed to instantly start to retrain the mind to let go of worrying thoughts and feelings and be happy.

So the next time you find yourself worrying about something that’s not actually happening, then give yourself a few mindful moments to stop worrying so that you can be happy again.

Most people at some time in their life have had feelings of loneliness arise due to not feeling connected to people and the world around them. I know that I have experienced it in the past and it was triggered at times when I moved to a new schools as a child, a relationship ended, or I felt invisible to everyone around me.

I have since come to make friends with not only loneliness but also with being alone, and loneliness. While these things may seem to be the same they are actually all quite different and once you get to understand what that difference is that’s when the penny drops, and things start to make a lot more sense.

I’ll speak more about that in a moment but for now, let’s have a look at loneliness and relationships.

Overcoming Loneliness In A Relationship

It’s amazing how sometimes we can be surrounded by people, even those that we love, yet we can still feel like we are the only one present. What is really says about us in those moments is that either someone is not available to connect with us, or we are closing ourselves off from being connected to, or both.

Ultimately it doesn’t really matter why we feel lonely, it’s more important that we ask ourselves the question, “what can I do to open my heart to make a connection with others again?” When we do this, then we put the responsibility back onto ourselves to go from feeling lonely, to being connected.

It’s true that we can’t make another person open their heart to connect with us if they don’t want to, as they may not be ready to let go of whatever judgments they are hanging onto. However, just by deciding to keep your heart open, be okay with your vulnerability and expressing it, and not closing off to others, this means that anyone you come in contact with can connect deeply with you.

Every human being has the basic need to feel connected to other human beings. This is really what the quest to love and be loved is all about – connection. For most people, when they don’t feel that connection with their partner, they don’t feel loved.

When you stay open to giving love even if every part of you is screaming that you don’t want to,then the door to connection and even intimacy is open. You have the power to do this because you are a powerful being that can take charge of their inner and outer world. It just takes practice at keeping your heart open-wide all-the-time.

How To Combat Loneliness

Some combat loneliness through drinking, eating, distracted themselves, watching TV, addictions and numerous other ways, most of which are an avoidance tactic. That’s not going to cure the fact that you feel sad or depressed that you don’t feel connected to others.

The simplest way to overcome loneliness is to get really comfortable at being with yourself. We don’t need others to feel whole – that is just an idea we have in our heads. The real issue is that if we are not comfortable in our own skin whether we are alone or with others, then that’s where our true suffering comes from.

By learning to love ourselves, especially when we are alone, it helps us to find a place a calm and inner peace that many people will never know. Learning to be happy when we are alone is not only healthy for us, it’s also serves us in relationships because then we are not dependent on anyone else to feel good about ourselves.

Loneliness is the judgment of what we are feeling in the moment. It’s probably more accurate to say that you feel frightened, sad, or empty on the inside, and that you don’t like these feelings so you’re looking to make a connection to someone or something to help you feel more at peace.

Just by changing the relationship you have in your mind about what loneliness is, you can instantly start giving yourself this peace anytime you like. Even something as simple as mindfulness meditation can help with this. Just 10 minutes a day of being non-judgmental with your thoughts and feelings will go a long way to heal your heart.

It’s always what you think about loneliness or about being alone that is the source of your discomfort with it. When you can connect with your heart and allow yourself to be okay with any feeling you have no matter how uncomfortable or scary it may be, then any fear of being by yourself will soon vanish.

The happiest and most balanced people I have ever met are the ones who are just as happy being by themselves as they are being with others. They know that loneliness is just a state of mind that can easily be changed by centering themselves and relaxing into the moment.

A moment of aloneness is just as peaceful as a moment of connection – it all depends on your focus. If we focus on being along as negative, or painful, then it is. Whereas if we focus on being alone as being okay, or joyous, then it is. Either way, we are the master of our own state of being.

Yet what does this mean to those who hate what they do for a living, struggle to pay their bills, or constantly feel stressed out by their everyday lives?

The clue lies in our relationship to what happiness means to us individually. For many years I thought that I was happy because I had a high-paying job, good health and great friends. To me, happiness came from the feeling of security that I got when everything seemed to be going smoothly.

That all got shattered when I was made redundant from my work and ended up having panic attacks for the first time in my life. After several months of declining confidence, health and finances, I couldn’t even remember what happiness was, let alone make it a part of my daily life.

That’s when I decided to study what I now call the art of being happy. I call it an art because like anything that we want to get good at, there is a learning curve involved.

Here are my top 3 takeaways that transformed my life and got me back onto the road of absolute happiness, health and aliveness.

1. Make happiness a choice

Here’s the thing – we have far more power over our happiness than we give ourselves credit for. One day, when I was feeling especially sorry for myself, it dawned on me that it is my choice whether I am happy or miserable. Since that day, every morning when I get up, the first thing I decide even before I open my eyes, I say to myself, ‘what am I going to choose today?’ Misery or Happiness? And since then I always choose happiness.

If this seems overly simplistic to you then you are right because it is. We are so used to giving the power of our happiness away to anyone and anything around us that we have forgotten that we are in charge of our mind and body. As soon as we make happiness something we can choose to have anywhere and anytime we want, then it becomes possible. The alternative is to believe we are powerless and then what hope is there to be happy.

2. Look for your source of joy

The real source of joy in our life comes from within,it’s just that we get so distracted by our thoughts and emotions that we forget to focus on it. One of the simplest ways to change this pattern is to remind yourself each day to become aware of your inner joy. Just like when you see a friend and suddenly feel a joy rising in your heart, focus your attention on this joy. Feel it, and become it, all the while meeting with your friend while staying aware of the joy filling you up on the inside.

This can be done in a multitude of situations where you have a feeling of a rising joy energy coming from your heart. It could be while watching a sunset, sitting on the beach, looking into your child’s eyes, or even just thinking about a happy memory. It doesn’t matter what triggers it for you, the opportunity is to stay centered in these moments of joy so that it spreads through your entire body and fills every cell with happiness.

We have these moments all the time but we go on missing them because we become object focused and give the power of that joy to the person, place or experience that we just had. This reinforces the idea that joy is coming from outside us. Instead, we start to remind ourselves that the joy we are feeling always comes from within us, and that the outer experience has helped remind us that it is there.

3. Be mindful of you

While doing anything such as walking, eating, looking, touching, hearing – step back from your mind and thoughts and simply be aware of what you are doing. It may sound easy, but the mind is a tricky thing and even when doing something as simple as washing our teeth, we can forget to be present.

Think of it more as getting more in touch with what you are feeling at any given moment without thinking about what you are doing. The moment the mind kicks in with a thought or an opinion, then we are lost again in the mind. When walking, be aware of your feet connecting to the ground and then lifting up, as well as the movement of your body, the wind blowing, the sun on your body – so much to be aware of. Don’t ‘think’ about it – be aware of these things, almost as if you are an observer on top of a mountain watching the world go by underneath.

Being more mindful really means just being more present and alert from moment to moment. When this happens, then stress and tension naturally falls away and clarity and calm arises in its place. Try it for just a few minutes each day and see just how powerful being present is to bring more happiness and joy into your life.

Ultimately, being happy is as natural as the sun rising and setting each day and each of these takeaways will help to remember that you have the power to be happy – all the time. Pick the one that resonates with you most and get started with it today and prepare yourself for the happiest time of your life!

Too many of us these days are moving too fast through life to really enjoy it. So much so, that by the end of the day, even though we may be physically wrecked, it’s still hard to unwind and get a good nights rest.

So What Is Plain And Joyful Living?

Well, one of the keys obviously has to do with slowing down. I’ve found out in my own life and after working with thousands of people that almost always it’s the simple things in life that have the biggest impact.

Think about the last time you felt really happy and content. What was it that caused you to feel that way? I’d be willing to bet money that it was a moment when life suddenly felt simple. Just like when dark clouds part in the sky and the sun shines through and we instantly feel happier, it’s the same when we get a break from the busy mind.

Really what we are looking for is a way out of our head because it’s the mind that gets all wound up in knots because of being constantly bombarded both from the outside and the inside.

It’s the moment our head clears is the moment that life gets simple and thats when we feel happy. It’s almost impossible to feel happy when we are living 24/7 in our heads because the mind moves from one thing to the next so quickly. And a great deal of this mental energy is focused on problems, struggles, not to mention trying to process any doubts and fears, all of which creates tension in our body.

Joyful Living Mind Training

In this video You’ll find some really simple ways to help quiet the busy mind as well as bring more joy into your everyday work and personal lives. It’s actually a lot easier than you might think as it’s just a matter of how you focus the mind to get more of what you want.

Apart from learning how to be happy anytime and anywhere you choose, you’ll also discover how to train the mind to focus on joy and to use your imagination to turn any negative into a positive.

How did you go? I hope that this shed some light on how you can now start to have more joy in your life by focusing on everyday situations that can be used to re-train the mind to become a beacon for good in your life.

What does happiness mean to you? And if you were to experience it everyday what is happiness in life and how would it look if you had it right now?

If you have ever felt like you could be happier but just aren’t sure what to do about it, then this should help you.

The Meaning Of Happiness

While most of us have our own idea of what happiness is, this doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s helping us to actually be happy. Sometimes, it’s simply our relationship to happiness that either frees us up to have more of it, or keeps it locked away inside so we don’t feel it.

I’ve spent more than 17 years studying the art of happiness and during this time I’ve had the privilege to meet some of the most extraordinary people on the planet who are living amazingly happy and fulfilled lives. I needed to know what they knew so I could see if I could do it to – and I did.

They taught me that happiness is not something that we need to aim for in life as that puts it out in the future and who knows about the future as that is always uncertain. I also learnt that happiness is a choice we make to experience from moment-to-moment.

This made a lot of sense to me because if we can choose to be happy, then we can also choose to be unhappy – either way it’s a choice. What really excited me about this concept was that it put the responsibility for happiness squarely on my shoulders, which meant I was in control.

Now, not everyone will be thrilled to think that happiness is up to them as it means that the will need to stop blaming others when they are not happy. What will they do then? Perhaps, they’ll decide to give-up their pity party and start to take responsibility for their own emotional well-being. You never know your luck.

What really blew me away though as I continued to explore the art of happiness was that it’s actually our natural state of being. If you were to take away all our doubts, fears, worries, despairs and anything else you can think of that causes us to be unhappy, then what are you left with? Happiness!

Underneath all the things that we stock-pile each day in our mind and body lies a never ending ocean of happiness waiting patiently to be enjoyed. We don’t have to do anything special to experience it, we just need to let go of our crap for a few moments.

The Secret To Finding Happiness

In the video below I’m going to share with you the secret to finding happiness anytime and anywhere you want. In essence you’ll learn how to train your mind for happiness in one minute or less. Once you know how to do this yourself, then you can tap into your innate state of happiness anytime you like.

What’s even better is you’ll have the tools to be able to let go of what’s creating unhappiness in your life, which in itself is priceless.

Quotes On Happiness

“Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude.” ~ Denis Waitley

“Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions.” ~ Dalai Lama

“Most folks are as happy as they make up their minds to be.” ~ Abraham Lincoln

“Research has shown that the best way to be happy is to make each day happy.” ~ Deepak Chopra

“Everything has its wonders, even darkness and silence, and I learn, whatever state I may be in, therein to be content.” ~ Helen Keller

Well, how did you do? Hopefully the technique I shared on how to find your inner happiness in 1 minute or less was helpful. Happiness really can become a way of life if we truly want it to be as it is as natural as breathing when you understand how it works.

Once you know how to distance yourself from what makes you unhappy, then your free to enjoy your life one moment at a time.
